26th of January 2008

Its that time of the year again when Australia celebrates its Nations Day "Australia Day". This year ProFormance Pyrotechnics was thrilled at the opportunity to light up the skies over Geelong for the 2nd consecutive year at the annual Krock Starshow 15. From the pictures below it really demonstrates how ProFormance Pyrotechnics can manage a large scale event from a tight firing positions such as the barge displayed in the photos. In such a limited setup space ProFormance was still able to safely fire 920 Aerial display shells ranging from 3" to 12" in Diameter, display cakes and large Italian Style Roman Candles, and for the first time at this presented display we used our custom made water cakes to help create the impact the audience was waiting for. The script was produced by Chad Barrett from our China office and then sent through to Philip Ferguson (The companies 2nd Director) who took charge of the display's logistics and setup within Australia.

The display was fired via the Monetti Pyroleda Digital Firing System and lasted for 14 minutes in duration. The spectacle was overwhelming from large barrages of 5" Blue to White to Red Crossette Shells "to signify the colors of the Australian flag" through to the Aussie sporting colors of the Green and Gold featured by firing Gold Brocade Willows with Green Strobe Pistils. All this was fired along side a supporting soundtrack simulcast to the viewing audience from the K-Rock Radio Station. If you managed to see the display we hope you enjoyed it an we look forward to providing an even bigger spectacle in 2009.
